GYB Services has recently completed the project to restore the ravine bridge at Gorleston seafront.
The £150k project will included complete removal existing decking, which was reused where possible; replacement of structural steel beams and painting to a high marine grade specification with a 15 year guarantee. Safety has been improved with the existing timber balustrades being replaced with black ornate posts with galvanised steel insert railings and new bridge decking with a sanded finish with a non-slip coating.
“This restoration has given many extra years life to the bridge and has given it a solid and modern engineered style,” commented George Jarvis, GYB Services’ Business Development Manager. “It has been an exciting and rewarding project, and is one of the largest undertaken by the Building and Engineering Team.”
